April 26, 2025 – The Global Alliance for Artificial Intelligence (GAFAI) is proud to announce the appointment of Mohamed Al Marri to its Board of Directors. With more than three decades of distinguished leadership in technology, data management, and AI-driven innovation, Al Marri brings a wealth of expertise and a proven commitment to responsible and transformative AI adoption across sectors.
Al Marri currently serves as Director of Dissemination at the Statistics Center Abu Dhabi, where he has pioneered the integration of artificial intelligence and advanced data visualization to enhance digital publication and public engagement. His leadership and expertise underscoring his impact on digital transformation and knowledge accessibility.
Throughout his career, Al Marri has held key roles in both government and industry, including:
· President & Founder, UAE Chapter, Global Council for Responsible AI
· Research Ethics Committee Member, Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi
· Advisory Board Member, Abu Dhabi University and Zayed University
· Former ICT Manager, Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation
His contributions have been recognized with several prestigious awards, including the BTX Top Executive Award 2023, Community Innovative 2025, and the ESRI Presidential Award in GIS Strategy.
Al Marri’s appointment to GAFAI’s Board of Directors reflects the Alliance’s dedication to global leadership, ethical governance, and cross-sector collaboration in AI. As a board member, he will help guide GAFAI’s mission to foster responsible AI development, promote knowledge sharing, and empower organizations and communities to harness the benefits of artificial intelligence for sustainable growth.
