The Global Alliance for Artificial Intelligence (GAFAI) is pleased to announce that its Board of Directors has unanimously elected Mohamed Al Marri as Executive Chairman of the Board for a three-year term in their 3rd Board meeting .
This strategic appointment reflects GAFAI’s continued commitment to advancing responsible, inclusive, and globally impactful artificial intelligence. Mr. Al Marri brings extensive leadership experience, cross-sector insight, and a strong dedication to innovation and ethical governance, positioning him to guide the Alliance through its next phase of growth and international engagement.
In his new role as Executive Chairman, Mr. Al Marri will work closely with GAFAI’s Board, leadership team, and global partners to strengthen the Alliance’s mission—fostering collaboration across governments, industry, academia, and civil society to accelerate AI innovation while promoting best practices in ethics, policy, and capacity building.
Speaking on the appointment, representatives of the GAFAI Board stated:
